Sindh have good potential of investment in the field of energy, agriculture, dairy farming, mine & mineral resources C.M.Sindh Qaim Ali Shah

The Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qiam Ali Shah has said that Dubai City has became hub of worldwide trade & business activities and desired for more access and space for Sindh Government and its business communities to further promote the bilateral business and human resources. This he said while talking to the new Consul General of UAE Mr. Sultan Altheeb Alketbi who called on him at CM House Karachi today.

The Chief Minister Sindh further said that he has recently attended a-3 day investment conference at Dubai, where more than 100 countries had participated and demonstrated their expertise. He said that we have got lot of opportunities of investment there and established contacts with interesting companies and added that many of them are likely to visit Sindh Province. He said that we have very old cordial brotherly relations with the UAE and its people we consider it as our second home.

He said that UAE posses good platform of worldwide investing companies, where as we have good potential of investment in the field of energy, agriculture, dairy farming, mine & mineral resources. He said that we want to strengthen and further to promote the bilateral relations with UAE in the field of Trade, economic and investment side and added that it to benefit both nations as whole.

The visiting new consul general Mr. Sultan Altheeb Alketbi while talking on the occasion said that he will try his best to become bridge between two nations and other investment organizations having headquarter at Dubai to promote trade, business and investment opportunities. He said that UAE and its people have lot of respect for the people of Pakistan and Sindh and they consider them as brothers. He said that they to help Sindh for its development and prosperity.

وزیراعلیٰ سندھ سید قائم علی شاہ کی دبئی کے انٹرنیشنل کنوینشن اینڈ ایگزیبیشن سینٹر میں سالانہ سرمایہ کاری اجلاس میں مختلف ممالک کے سرمایہ کاروں سے ملاقاتیں

کراچی /دبئی(09۔ اپریل): وزیراعلیٰ سندھ سید قائم علی شاہ نے دبئی کے انٹرنیشنل کنوینشن اینڈ ایگزیبیشن سینٹر میں سالانہ سرمایہ کاری اجلاس 2014 کے دوسرے دن صوبہ سندھ کے اسٹال کا دورہ کیا اور مختلف ممالک کے سرمایہ کاروں سے ملاقاتیں کیں۔ غیر ملکی سرمایہ کاروں نے پاکستان باالخصوص انرجی کے شعبہ میں سرمایہ کاری میں خصوصی دلچسپی کا اظہار کیا اور یقین دلایا کہ پاکستان خاص طور پر صوبہ سندھ سرمایہ کاری کے حوالے سے سب سے محفوظ جگہ ہے اور مستقبل میں سندھ کو پاور جنریشن کے شعبہ میں مرکز یت / حب کے حیثیت حاصل ہوگی کیونکہ صوبہ سندھ پاور جنریشن کے حوالے سے قدرتی وسائل سے مالا مال ہے اور یہاں پر تھر کول ، گھارو- جھمپیر میں ونڈ کوریڈورز، سولر اور ویسٹ انرجی جیسے وسائل موجود ہیں۔ پاکستان کے وفد نے وزیراعلیٰ سندھ کی قیادت میں چین کے انوسیٹمنٹ پروموشن ایجنسی آف منسٹری آف کامرس کے چیئرمین دلی بائیر ابو کمیٹی کی سربراہی میں ایک وفد سے ملاقات کی۔ وزیراعلیٰ سندھ نے اس موقعہ پر بتایاکہ چین سے سرمایہ کار گروپس انرجی کے شعبہ میں سرمایہ کاری کر رہے ہیں جس پر وفد کے سربراہ نے کوئلے اور ونڈ کے ذریعے پاور جنریشن پروجیکٹس میں خصوصی دلچسپی کا اظہار کیا اور یقین دلایا کہ چین سے زیادہ سے زیادہ سرمایہ کار صوبہ سندھ میں توانائی کے شعبہ میں سرمایہ کاری کر یں گے۔ میسی ڈونیا کے وزیر برائے غیرملکی سرمایہ کاری جیر ی نؤ موف سے بھی وزیراعلیٰ سندھ سید قائم علی شاہ نے ملاقات کی اور میسی ڈونیا کی جانب سے صوبہ سندھ کے زرعی شعبہ میں سرمایہ کاری کی خواہش کو سراہا۔ وزیراعلیٰ سندھ سید قائم علی شاہ سے جفزا جبل علی فری زون کے ایک گروپ نے نائب صدر عمر بن ھیندی کی سربراہی میں ملاقات کی اور ملاقات میں انفرااسٹیکچر کی ترقی سے متعلق مختلف منصوبے زیر غور آئے۔ عمربن ھیندی نے صوبہ سندھ میں انفرااسٹیکچر کے منصوبوں کی تفصیلات سے آگاہی حاصل کی اور امید ظاہر کی کہ دونوں ممالک کے درمیان کاروباری تعلقات مستقبل میں مزید مستحکم ہونگے۔ بعد ازاں وزیراعلیٰ سندھ سید قائم علی شاہ نے صوبائی مشیر خزانہ و انرجی مراد علی شاہ اور دیگر کے ہمراہ متحدہ عرب امارات کے اکنامک منسٹر سے ملاقات کی ۔ وزیراعلیٰ سندھ نے اے آئی ایم 2014کے ایونٹ کے یادگار انعقاد پر یو اے ای کی کاوشوں کو سراہا اور کہا کہ یو اے ای گذشتہ -4 سالوں سے کامیابی کے ساتھ اس ایونٹ کا انعقاد کر رہا ہے جس میں 100 سے زائد ممالک سے کاروباری وفود اور سرمایہ کار گروپس اکھٹے ہو تے ہیں اور کاروباری امور اور سرمایہ کاری کے حوالے سے مختلف پہلوٗں پر غور کیا جا تا ہے۔ یو اے ای کے وزیر نے وزیراعلیٰ سندھ ، پاکستان، سندھ سے آنے والے وفد کو خوش آمدید کہا ۔ یو اے ای وزیر نے دونوں ممالک کے مابین تجارتی تعلقات کے فروغ اور پاکستان سے زرعی پروڈکٹس کی درآمد پرخصوصی دلچسپی کا اظہا ر کیا۔ اس موقعہ پر مختلف باہمی دلچسپی کے امور سمیت انرجی اور صوبہ سندھ کے زرعی شعبہ سے متعلق مختلف امور پر تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا۔ وزیراعلیٰ سندھ نے یو اے ای کے وزیر کو بتایا کہ صوبہ سندھ قدرتی وسائل سے مالا مال ہے اور یہاں پر موجود ونڈ کوریڈورز کے زریعے 50,000 میگاواٹ تک بجلی پیدا کی جاسکتی ہے ۔ وزیراعلیٰ سندھ نے مزید بتایا کہ اس وقت ونڈانرجی کے دو منصوبے زیرعمل ہیں جس سے 106.4میگا واٹ بجلی کی پیداوار حاصل ہوسکے گی جسے جلد نیشنل گرڈ میں شامل کردیا جائیگا اور 800میگا واٹ کے منصوبے بھی حتمی مراحل میں ہیں جو کہ جلد مکمل ہوکر نیشنل گرڈ میں شامل ہونگے۔ وزیراعلیٰ سندھ نے مزید بتایا کہ صوبہ سندھ کے تھر کے علاقے میں کوئلے کے 175بلین ٹن ذخائر موجود ہیں جو کہ 900مربع گز پر پھیلے ہوئے ہیں اور ان ذخائر سے آئندہ 300سالوں تک 100,000میگا واٹ بجلی پیدا کی جاسکتی ہے۔ انہوں نے ذرعی شعبہ میں موجود وسائل پر روشنی ڈالتے ہوئے کہا کہ صوبہ سندھ میں دوملین ایکڑ کے رقبہ پر چاول کاشت کیا جاتا ہے اور فی ایکڑ پیداوار 45تا 50من ہے۔ اور صوبہ سندھ ملک کا 35فیصد چاول پیدا کرتا ہے اور اس کی سالانہ پیداوار 3.5ملین ٹن ہے ۔ وزیراعلیٰ سندھ نے مزید بتایا کہ آم کی مجموعی پیداوار کا 40فیصد سندھ سے حاصل ہوتا ہے اور سندھ میں مختلف اقسام کے آم پائے جاتے ہیں ۔ متحدہ عرب امارات کے وزیر برائے اکنامکس نے اس موقعہ پر یقین دلایا کہ انکا ملک صوبہ سندھ میں انرجی کے شعبہ میں ہر ممکن مدد اور تعاون کریگا۔ وزیراعلیٰ سندھ نے سالانہ سرمایہ کاری اجلاس 2014کی کنٹری پریزینٹیشن میں بھی شرکت کی جس میں چئرمین بورڈ آف انوسٹمینٹ علی ارشد حکیم ، ممتاز حسین ، کنٹری منیجر زولو انرجی ، رفیق داؤد چئیرمین داؤد پاور پرائیویٹ لمیٹیڈ ، شمس الدین اے شیخ ، سی ای او سندھ اینگرو کول مائننگ اور ظفر مسعود چئیرمین اور سی او بر ج کیپیٹل پاکستان بھی موجود تھے ایس بی آئی کے چئیرمین نے کنٹری پریزینٹیشن دی اور شرکاء کو غیر ملکی سرمایہ کاری کے حوالے سے بریفینگ دیتے ہوئے بتایا کہ پاکستان میں سرمایہ کاری سے متعلق قوانین کے تحت سرمایہ کاری کو مکمل تحفظ حاصل ہے ۔ انہوں نے مزید بتایا کہ صوبہ سند ھ کو خطہ میں نمایا ں حیثیت حاصل ہے اور تھر میں موجود کوئلے کے ذخائر سے 100,000میگا واٹ بجلی آئندہ 300سالوں تک پیدا کی جاسکتی ہے جبکہ ونڈ کوریڈور کے ذریعے 60,000میگا واٹ بجلی حاصل کی جاسکتی ہے۔

Dubai Investment Conference: Qaim Ali Shah expects to get huge foreign investment

 

Sindh can expect to receive billions of dollars of foreign investment for the province during the next three years. This was disclosed by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah in Dubai. He said that, as a result of the International Annual Investment Conference in Dubai, several foreign investors have expressed keen interest in available opportunities and development projects of the province and have pledged to participate and invest in a variety of projects, including projects in the agricultural and energy sectors. 

The Annual Investment Meeting was inaugurated by the President of the UAE Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan at International Convention & Exhibition Center, Dubai. Syed Qaim Ali Shah, who attended the conference along with a high-level delegation, told journalists that they have been successful in informing foreign investors about the attractive business opportunities available in Sindh. “We expect that not only will this result in an increase in foreign trade for the country, it will also bring prosperity for the people of Sindh,” he added. 

The Chief Minister said that delegations of several countries participating in the conference have assured him that they will soon take steps to invest on a large scale in different areas of Sindh. He said that the provincial government is taking all necessary steps to develop the industrial sector of the province so that the standard of living of the people of Sindh could improve. 

Provincial Minister for Irrigation, Syed Murad Ali Shah said that Sindh has become the center of interest for international investors and soon the outcome of this conference will start reaching the people of the province. On this occasion, Ali Arshad Hakeem, Chairman of the Sindh Investment Board, told journalists that we also talked to several countries about the possibility and available investment opportunity, in those countries for investors from Sindh. 

He said “We hope that similar trade facilities will also be provided to our industrialists in those countries so that our investors could play their role in increasing the foreign exchange reserves of the country.” Earlier, the Chief Minister of Sindh visited the ‘Sindh-stall’ at the Investment Exhibition and, along with his delegation, met Aziz Rubabh, the Transport Minister of Morocco. He discussed with him investment opportunities in several sectors of the province, including projects which have been designed to improve the transport facility in Karachi. 

The Chief Minister briefed him about an ongoing Karachi transport-project, which has been launched with the specific purpose of bringing improvement in the transport system of the city. This project, in its initial phase will cover almost seventy kilometers of the city road and will provide people with an advance transport solution, as available to people in most Western countries. 

Transport Minister of Morocco expressed keen interest in the project and assured that his government will soon send a delegation to Karachi to discuss and explore the possibility. The Pakistani delegation also met Tjkero Tweya, the Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry of Namibia, and exchanged views with him on topics of mutual interest. 

Chief Minister Sindh along with his delegation also met the Malaysian minister for Planning, Environment and Industrial Development and informed him that the Sindh Board of Investment and Malaysian Halal Industries Development Corporation are already working together for the establishment of Halal industry in Pakistan. Malaysian Minister also expressed keen interest in Pakistani agricultural products, especially in the import of mango from Pakistan. The delegation also met the Chief of Indonesia’s Investment Board, Mahendra Siregar. Indonesia assured the delegation that it will establish industries in different regions of the Sindh province
