Islamabad, 4 January 2019: Former President of Pakistan and President Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians Asif Ali Zardari condoled the death of lifelong worker of PPP Malik Hakmeen Khan who passed away on Friday in Lahore. He instructed Party office bearers and workers to limit the events of birth anniversary of founding father Quaid-e-Awam Zulfikar Ali Bhutto to prayer meetings only.
Former President Zardari spoke to Shahan Malik, the son of Malik Hakmeen Khan via telephone. Paying rich tributes to Malik Hakmeen, the former President said that Malik Hakmeen was a brave Party leader and an asset for the Party. The passing away of Malik Hakmeen is a great loss to the Party and he will be remembered by his colleagues, party workers and leadership. His services for the Party are exemplary and he stood firm with the Party in the fight against dictators, he stated. He was loyal to Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, he said.
President Zardari prayed to Almighty Allah for grant of eternal peace to the departed soul and strength and fortitude to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with equanimity.
