LAHORE, April 10: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has felicitated the nation on Constitution Day, especially the Senate of Pakistan for celebrating the day with due honor to a unanimous national document, which binds entire population of Pakistan into a single and united federation.

“Founder of our unanimous Constitution Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was judicially murdered and the Constitution was trampled by the dictatorships. Again, President Asif Ali Zardari who restored the 1973 Constitution in its original shape is under attack again and again for the crime that he strengthened the Constitution and extended autonomy to provinces,” PPP Chairman stated in his statement on the Constitution Day being observed today in the country.

He said that those who treated Constitution as a piece of papers have gone into the history as villains who fomented extremism and ethnicity, tormented democratic forces and created political dummies to achieve their nefarious designs of dragging this country into chaos and disharmony.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that PPP has always stood for the implementation of Constitution and a democratic order. Democracy is a license to national integrity and any attempt on the Constitutionalism and democracy will be vehemently resisted, he added.

PPP Chairman pledged that being the author of the Constitution his Party will go to any extent to protect the Constitution and the federation despite the victimization of its leaders and workers.
