Islamabad, 10 February 2017: Pakistan Peoples Party Senator Saeed Ghani has expressed his concerns over government’s plan to privatize big airports of the country.
Senator Ghani in a statement issued by PPP Media Office Islamabad said that Civil Aviation Authority has earned 22 billion rupees during current fiscal year and it is surprising that government wants to privatize these economically viable assets. He said that government’s advertisement in this regard is just a formality as government has already decided which individuals and companies have to be given these contracts.
Senator Saeed Ghani said that government should have renovated and upgraded smaller airports but instead is doling out assets of country to its favorites. Nawaz government always had an agenda to make poor people jobless through so-called privatization, Senator Ghani alleged. .
