KARACHI, December 24: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has pledged to uphold the vision of Founder of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah on his 140th birthday being celebrated tomorrow.

“Pakistan achieved independence through a democratic struggle led by the great democratic leader Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the Quaid-e-Azam for entire country. Though we achieved freedom from imperial yoke seven decades ago but untimely death of our greatest statesman impeded nation’s journey to a democratic system,” he added.

Paying tributes to Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the PPP Chairman said that Pakistanis are a fortunate nation for having a visionary leader like him who snatched freedom through his untiring political struggle and skills.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that PPP inherited its ideology from the principles of equality, fair-play, rule of law and justice without any discrimination to any citizen vehemently pursued by the Founder of the Nation.

He said that PPP has gifted the nation country’s first unanimous Constitution, which guarantees the Federation and supremacy of the collective wisdom of the nation through elected Parliament and democracy.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the best way to pay homage to Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah is to pursue his vision of a democratic, safe and secure, strong and progressive model Muslim nation on the world map. In pursuit of his vision, we lost our great democratic leaders Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, tens of thousands of soldiers, political workers and civilians at the hands of those who still remain sworn enemies of his vision, he added.
