KARACHI, December 12: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has invited Dawat-e-Islami to establish a university in Karachi like it made in Islamabad to impart religious as well as modern scientific education to the students.
PPP Chairman was on a visit to the office of Dawat-e-Islami after participating in Milad and special prayers on Eid Milad-un-Nabi at Faizan-e-Madina in Karachi today. He was received by Mohammad Yaqoob Attari, Yousuf Saleem Attari and Yahya Attari.
Officials of Dawat-e-Islami brief the PPP Chairman that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto had always supported our efforts and she had allotted a large piece of land on Super Highway named Sehra-e-Madina for holding religious and spiritual congregation.
They also pointed out that President Asif Ali Zardari had chartered our Islamic university in Islamabad from the Senate and National Assembly where not only religious but modern and scientific education is also imparted to the students.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari suggested them to establish a similar university in Karachi and asked the Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to meet Ulemas to facilitate them in founding the varsity.
PPP Chairman attended the Milad and special prayers led by Haji Amin Attari at Faizan-e-Madina and listened Na’at Sharif. He said that Islam is a religion of peace and harmony and we all shall further spread the message and teachings of our Holy Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him). He was accompanied by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Political Secretary Chairman Jameel Soomro, Special Assistant to CM on Religious Affairs Abdul Qayum Soomro and others.
Meanwhile, talking to the media outside the Faizan-e-Madina, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said he was happy and rejoicing the great religious day and won’t talk about politics on our most auspicious day just emphasis on tranquility and peace as professed by our religion.
