LAHORE, December 3: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa was being drowned in Tsunami of terrorism adding that this monster could only be defeated and eliminated with the will and valour that PPP leadership have displayed in the history.
PPP Chairman was addressing a huge gathering of PPP workers from KPK at Bilawal House, Lahore in connection with the week-long celebrations of the Party’s 49th Foundation Day where thousands of Jiyalas played folk and cultural Pakhtun dances on PPP songs. Similar workers conferences of workers from Balochistan and South Punjab were held at Bilawal House.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that PPP is very strong in KPK and it was going to record remarkable victory in the province in next general elections and even it can elect its Chief Minister and Prime Minister from Balochistan. He said that with support of the people of Pakistan he would Inshallah be elected Prime Minister of the country in 2018.
He said the country was passing through its critical phase and we need an able Interior Minister equally accountable to the Parliament and repeated the warning that Go Nawaz Go slogan will go viral if Chaudhry Nisar was not removed and our four demands were not met.
PPP Chairman said that Jiyalas of Pakistan’s most popular party have started chanting slogans and Takht-e-Raiwind should take notice that the same will reverberate all over the country if Nawaz Sharif government to failed to understand the pulse of public opinion.
On the occasion, the PPP Chairman announced to contest elections from his ancestral seat but the decision about time to contest will be taken by the Party.
Meanwhile, senior PPP leader Senator Sherry Rehman said that our Party has always sacrificed for democracy and its strengthening and shall continue its struggle without any interval.
She said that it was the PPP which restored the identity of Pakhtunkhwa after more than a century and it was President Asif Ali Zardari who initiated the move to give back the original identity to other Pakhtun brothers and sisters.
The newly-elected office-bearers of PPP Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Humayun Khan, Faisal Karim Kundi, Akhunzada Chattan, Senator Rubina Khalid, Noor Alam Khan, MPA Nighat Orakzai and others also spoke on the occasion and pledged to regain Party’s position in KPK to win the next general elections from the province.
