Islamabad, 17 November 2016: Pakistan Peoples Party Senator Rubina Khalid has said that by boycotting joint session of the Parliament, Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf, did not give right message to the world about unity of Pakistani nation and stopping Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervaiz Khattak from attending the joint session and other functions in honor of respected guest was most unfortunate.
In a statement issued by the PPP media office Islamabad Senator Rubina Khalid said that Turkish leader was the guest of Pakistan and Pakistani nation and not of a certain or particular group or political party. Every political party in Parliament had the responsibility to welcome the honorable guest and pay him the utmost respect. She said that this decision of boycotting joint session by PTI has shamed the people of KPK.
Senator Khalid said that the people of KPK are suffering from this PTI government in KPK and people are being deprived of the benefits of being part of Pakistani federation just due to the PTI government in the province. It was very condemnable to see empty seat reserved by the Chief Minister KPK, Senator Rubina Khalid concluded.
