Islamabad, 14 October 2016: Former President of Pakistan and President Pakistan Peoples Party has condoled the death of Pakistan women’s football team player Shahlyla Baloch who died in a car accident in Karachi late Wednesday night.
Former President paid glowing tributes to the young footballer Shahlyla Baloch who played as a striker with Pakistani women’s football team. She started playing at a very young age and was a promising attacker in the team. She was naturally gifted player. She had also achieved the honor of receiving international football governing body’s award for youngest player. Shahlyla Baloch’s death is a great loss for women football in general and Pakistani women’s football in particular, Asif Ali Zardari said.
Former President said that Shahlyla Baloch’s death was a great loss to the family. He prayed to Almighty Allah for grant of eternal peace to the departed soul and strength and fortitude to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with equanimity.
