CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah visits different areas of Karachi

KARACHI (Oct 9): Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that he went to listen to majlis at Nishtar Par and then offered Maghrib prayer at Binori Town mosque to promote sectarian harmony in the province in general and in the city in particular.

This he said while talking to media at Guru Mander where he enjoyed ‘Chhola Chat’ along with his cabinet members, IG AD Khwaja, Adl IG Karachi Mushtaq Maher, Commissioner Karachi and others.

He started visit of the city from Clifton via Mai Kolachi, Kharadar where he visited Hussqinia Iranian, then went through the streets of Lyari to Soldier Bazar where he met shopkeepers.

He urged the shopkeepers to close their shops for construction of their Street roads. ” If you cooperate with me I would construct your streets within five days,” he said. He listened to the problems of the people who gathered to receive him.

The chief minister who jeep was being driven by provincial minister Nasir Shah turned to M.A Jinnah Road to inspect the route of main mourners procession and issued necessary directives to IG Police who briefed him about the arrangements.

The chief minister right from Plaza Market he turned to Preedy Police Station and went inside. He met with the detainees confined in the lock up of the police station and asked them if they have any isses.

He also met the complainant sitting at the waiting room of the police station who told him that his bike had been stolen two months ago. The chief minister directed the SHO to recover his bike and report him.

The chief minister directed the IG AD Khwaja to ensure presence of SHO at the police stations. “I have received complaints that the SHOs donot sit in their offices,” he said and added if they would not be presented how they would listen to the complaints of the people. ” Oh yes, patrolling is necessary but they must spare time for their office,” he gave IGP clear instructions.

The chief minister just after police station went to Numaish where visited different stalls of sabeel and went on foot to Nishtar Park. At Nishtar Park he listened to khitab of Allama Talib Johari along with his cabinet members.

Syed Murad Ali Shah just after conclusion of the khitab of Allama Talib Johari went to Jamia Binori Town Guru Mander and offered maghrib prayer there. He met with the administrator of the Jamia Dr Abdul Razak Isikandar and others. The students of the madarsa just after namaz gave warm welcome to the chief minister.

On the occasion he said that PPP government has always served region of Islam. ” This credit also goes to PPP to gather people irrespective of social and regions discrimination under its umbrella,” he said.

He stopped at Guru Madar Food Street and had chhola chat with his cabinet members, IGP and newsmen and listen to the grievances of the people who gathered there to see him.

After eating chat, Syed Murad Ali Shah visited Yasreb Imambargah at DHA phase -IV. He met with the administration of Imambargah and discussed their issues with them.

Talking to media at Numaish, the chief minister said that on his instruction the IG police has registered FIR against the murder of a student at Nipa Chorangi. The police have arrested two policemen and the inquiry was in progress. “Justice would be done at any cost, he said and added police was there to protect life and property of people and they have no authority to misuse the powers.

The chief minister said that the arms recovered from Nawab Shah and Azizabad might be used in the used for any terrorist activity. But nothing tangible could be said now because the inquiry was in progress.

Expressing his happiness, the chief minister said that old glories of the city are returning in which there used to be sectarian harmony, recreational places used to be full of visitors and people were leading peaceful lives. “This kind of environment has developed again and it’s credit goes to the people of Karachi,” he said.
