Islamabad 12 September 2016: Former President of Pakistan and President Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarian Asif Ali Zardari has felicitated Muslims throughout the world on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha falling on 13 September 2016 in Pakistan.
Following is the text of his message:
This is a day of expressing willingness to be ready to offer highest sacrifice in the cause of Almighty Allah.
On this day I greet Muslims all over the world in general and Pakistan in particular.
Eid-ul-Azha reminds us of our responsibilities towards our society and to share the bounties of Allah with less unfortunate of our community. The message of Islam is the message of social justice and the rights of the weak and dispossessed. We have an obligation towards these sections of society. We have to include poor and less fortunate in our joyous occasion and express unity in the nation.
Therefore I urge my countrymen to reach out to the unfortunate families particularly those who have suffered a lot in the fight against terrorism.
I pray that may Allah Almighty bless us with real happiness and delight of Eid-ul-Azha.
