PPP keen on making public health facilities patient-friendly: Labour Adviser Saeed Ghani

Karachi. 9.9.2016: Chief Minister’s adviser on labour Senator Saeed Ghani said it is in strict accordance to the vision of slain PPP Chairperson Benazir Bhutto Shaheed to ensure every citizen has direct access to better health services. PPP is striving hard to translate this vision into a reality and in this context; each health facility under the administrative precincts of Sindh Labour department would be upgraded to an exemplary status catering to the people with the best.

He expressed these views on his visit to social security hospital in Landhi and other health facilities located in Landhi circle, Friday.

The labour adviser inspected different sections of the health facilities he had visited, examined the muster roll for attendance of doctors, paramedics and others. He inquired about issues the visiting patients were facing and issued directives on the spot for the resolution of patients’ problems and complaints.

Ghani also looked into the details of the ongoing process of upgradation and development of the health facilities and urged upon accelerating the process as he said that the delayed od slower pace of work always created expenses and the cost of the projects to be completed on time. No delay or slowing tactic due to any reason was unacceptable, he warned.

He said that the social security hospital in Landhi was the basic health facility for providing healthcare facilities to the working class and hence the provincial government is fully determined to uplift the facility up to the mark.

Senator Ghani also expressed dissatisfaction over lack of cleanliness within the premise of the health facilities under the labour department and vowed that these flaws would soon be overcome and the entire chain of social health facilities would be made modern.

Later, the medical profession stationed at those health facilities informed the labour adviser of their problems and grievances on which the adviser assured them of speedy resolution of their problems.
