Karachi. 4.7.2016: Sindh Senior Minister for Education Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has on behalf of the Coordination Committee warned the federal government of severe protest if the later would not stop its practice of shedding the load during Eid holidays. The PPP with the support of the masses would be compelled to take to streets after Eid. The PMLN had deceived the masses by making tall claims of overcoming the energy crisis and the time has now come to force the federal government to review its policies or else the forthcoming protest would prove a last nail in PMLN’s coffin.
He expressed these views while addressing a press conference at PPP Media Cell Sindh on Monday. He was flanked by CM’s special assistant and Coordination Committee member Rashid Hussain Rabbani, CM’s adviser for information Moula Bux Chandio, Senator Saeed Ghani, Habibuddin Junaidi, Lateef Mughal, Manzoor Abbas and Zulfiquar Kaim Khani.
Khuhro said that the load shedding in Sindh’s rural and urban areas for 18 to 22 hours. The protest on load shedding in cities is heard and noted but the protest in rural areas goes unheard. The blackouts have destroyed trade and economic activities while the lives of the people in the province are under severe stress and unrest.
He said that PPP knows all the ways of protest and once it would take to street, the situation in the country would be totally changed as whenever it takes to street as was once witnessed against construction of Kala Bagh Dam, which could not be constructed after that protest; it never stops until the goals are achieved.
The Senior Minister said PPP is familiar with the ways leading to offices of the power distributions companies such as Karachi Electric, HESCO and others and when the protest would take a start, PPP would also reach these offices. PPP knows well as how to stop the tyranny of the rulers on the masses.
He said Sindh government would lodge FIRs if the power distribution companies would not stop removing PMTs from villages in rural Sindh.
Speaking on the occasion, CM’s adviser Moula Bux Chandio warned the federal government of strong reaction in case the federal government would fail to pay heed on the grievances.
He said once PPP launches its protest, the shape and style of the federal government would also be changed.
