Islamabad June 12, 2016: Former President Asif Ali Zardari has congratulated the provincial Sindh government specially the Finance Minister Murad Ali Shah for giving a poor friendly and “Awam Dost” budget to the province.
In a statement today the former President said that keeping the welfare of the poor people uppermost in mind in budget making has been the vision of Party leaders Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
Keeping alive the traditions of our Shaheed leaders the Sindh government has given a pro-poor budget for which it deserves to be complimented, the former President said.
The strength of Sindh budget lies in the fact that it has been formulated in the spirit of reconciliation and participatory politics with emphasis on job creation and focus on benefiting both the rural areas and cities of Sindh.
Zardari also congratulated the Sindh government for making special efforts for providing drinking water to the people of Thatta.
Seldom before a provincial neglected had placed so much emphasis on providing basic needs to the people of Thatta as has been done by the present provincial government for which it deserves to be lauded, he said.
