Moula Bux Chandio felicitates Newly Elected Body of CPNE

Karachi 27 May: Advisor to the Chief Minister Sindh for Information & Archives, Moula Bux Chandio has congratulated newly elected office bearers of Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE), the elections were held on CPNE’s annual meeting.

He extended his congratulations to Mr. Zia Shahid for President, Shaheen Qureshi for Senior Vice President, Aijazul Haq for General Secrtary and other elected office bearers.

In his felicitation message, Sindh Information Advisor hoped that new body of CPNE will play pivotal role for promotion of ethical and professional values in print media which will ultimately help in advancing democratic traditions and strengthening democratic institutions in the country.

He said that in spite of mushroom growth of electronic media, the significance of print media still persist, adding that print media has its own charm and value.

Sindh information advisor added that Pakistan People’s Party and Journalist fraternity have struggled against dictatorial regimes together and have rendered sacrifices shoulder to shoulder in nation’s struggle for restoration of democracy, promotion of democratic values and strengthening of democratic institutions.

Mr. Moula Bux Chandio vowed that PPP and Sindh government would continue to stand by an independent media for its crucial role in advancement of democratic society. He assured new office bearers of CPNE for extending all sorts of cooperation and assistance required for better practicing of professional responsibilities.
