Sindh to lead other provinces in education sector, says CM Sindh

Sukkur: Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah has expressed his optimism that the Sindh province, which was miserably lagging behind to other three Provinces of the country in education realm, would soon be able to play a leading role for other three Provinces, adding that example set by the Sindh would even be worth- emulate by many area in the Sub-continent; this milestone would be possible because the elected Sindh government had devoted a huge financial resources for education, keeping in view the mission bequeathed by Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto .

This he said on Saturday while addressing at Sukkur Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Convocation 2016. He said that Sindh, like other parts of the country, had talent in abundance but the need was only to harness the available talent and provided youth even handed opportunities . He said that the people of Sindh were aptly proud of Sukkur IBA for to accomplishments.

He advised the graduates that they must not be lured by attraction of only lucrative jobs but they must come out with spirit to serve the humanity and rise to new challenges posed by our socio- economic disparities.

Commending the motto of merit, quality and excellence vigorously pursued by Sukkur IBA, the C.M announced a grant of Rs. 40 million for it, adding to that the government would continue to provide every possible assistance.

The Chief Minister further said that the present Sindh government had spent a huge amount on development sector include education which was unprecedented in last 5 decade.

Earlier, Director Sukkur IBA Professor Nisar Ahmed Siddiqui in his welcome address told that Sukkur IBA by imparting education as par international standard in Business Administration, Electric Engineering Computer Science, Mathematics and other discipline of high significance, had brought a silent revolution in this parts of the Province, adding that our endeavors were directed to reduce the existing gap between the rural and urban areas and reduce disparity between rich and poor people living in backward and rural areas.

Sukkur IBA, he informed , that only in span of 10 year of its existence ,had emerged as an institution which unlike many Universities of the country was not producing unemployed graduates, adding that graduates of this institute were receiving job offers in public and private sector as soon as they complete their education which was evident from the fact that 90 percent alumni have been hired for jobs.

Sukkur IBA, he said, had many feathers to cap as new plan had been devised to produce graduates for agriculture sector and in this regard an agreement has been reached with the renowned and old Agriculture University Faisalabad, adding that we had introduced community college system with special emphasis an basic and technical education; they system, he said, had been borrowed and inspired from the American education system.

He was of the view that Sukkur IBA has assumed a role of change and trend setter in the country, adding that we have entered with agreement with multinational companies of the USA, Chine, France and other European countries, beside multinational companies and institutions in our own country with a view to secure maximum jobs for our graduates .

He lauded the Sindh government for all possible assistance, adding that without it our achievements were not possible; he also thanked the C.M and MNA and leader of the Opposition in National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah for evincing keep interest to make Sukkur IBA a success in its mission .
