KARACHI: The Transport and Mass Transit Department of the Sindh government in collaboration with Motorway Police will establish three driving training centres in the province.
Talking to Daily Times, Transport and Mars Transit Department Secretary Taha Ahmed Farooqi has told that summary about the working with Motorway police has been submitted to the Planning and Development Department to establish the centres for the new learners to reduce accidents and proper trainings of heavy transport vehicles and light transport vehicle.
The project will be started in 2016, after approval by the chief minister, he said, adding that four driving training centres in Karachi, Hyderabad and Larkana have been completed.
He said the Transport Department will take measures on modern lines and standard trainings on international level with speedy facilitations for driver to learn from reputable organisation.
However, Naeem Ghori in Motorway police talking to Daily Times disclosed that there are 17 Road Safety Transport Institutions (RSTIs) in Sindh already providing training to the learners.
