Larkana—Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal on Tuesday said that Border Security Force will be revived in Sindh to check the infiltration of terrorists from Mastung areas of Balochistan to Sindh, he said this while talking with media in press conference here at DIG Office Larkana.
He was accompanied by Inspector General Police Ghulam Haider Jamali and Home Secretary Sindh, DIGs and SSPs Larkana and Sukkur region.
Home Minister said that Border Security Force which were merged into the Sindh Police, would be re-activated and deployed at Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Kamber Shahdadkot and other districts of border areas to control the entry of terrorists, militants and other criminal elements.
He said that Sindh province has reinforced the National Action Plan (NAP) in letter and spirit, killed and apprehended terrorists, extortionists, criminal elements in Karachi established writ of law, operation in Karachi will be continued against the criminals till elimination of last terrorist and bring them to their logical end.
Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal applauded the role of Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif and Sindh government for bring peace in Karachi and Sindh province, adding that credit goes to both in this regard, he said.
He disclosed that 55 Madarsas (Seminaries) out of 7000 are involved in terrorism activities in Sindh, Sindh government has taken action against them, added that in future no any Madarsa could be set up without seeking NOC.
Home Minister told that for encouraging the moral of Police and changing the aggressive concept of Police, Sindh Police has decided to establish 12 model Police Stations and facilitation centers in Sindh province for evolving the relation between public and Police.
IGP Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali on the occasion told that Sindh Police has initiated the crackdown operation against the dacoits and criminal elements in Sindh, several areas near forest areas of River Indus had become no go areas, now established several check posts and crime rate declined.
He claimed that law and order situation Sindh is much better than before and crime rate has come down and there is no highway robberies, kidnapping for ransom and other crime, adding that they have put end convoy system at highways and roads.
Earlier, Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal presided over the high level meeting with Police Officers of Larkana and Sukkur region to implement the National Action Plane. DIG Establishment Sultan Khuwaja, DIG Sukkur Azhar Rashid, DIG Larkana Abdullah Shaikh, SSPs of both ranges were present on the occasion.
