Karachi. 28.1.2016: The unity of the nation post-APS tragedy is need of the hour but there are some that are plotting to create a valley of difference, which the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) would not allow to happen. The behaviour of the federal interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan is beyond our senses as whom he is serving now.
PPP Parliamentary leader in Senate Senator Saeed Ghani expressed these views while giving a press conference at the PPP Media Cell sindhThursday.
He was flanked with adviser to the Sindh Chief Minister on information Moula Bux Chandio, Sharmilla Farooqui, MNA Dr Shahida Perveen, Sindh minister Rubina Qaimkhani and others.
Senator Ghani said it is yet to decide whether Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan is assisting the Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, the country or any anti-state force through his confrontational statements and gesture.
He said that it is an iron that after the second largest national tragedy of terror attack on innocent students and employees of the Bacha Khan University in Charsaddah in Peshawar, the federal interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had disappeared.
He said that the federal interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan is famous for resuming his office as and when the stage of extension I powers of the paramilitary Rangers is in focus. In recent past, he had created a confrontational state between the federation of Pakistan and the Sindh province with regard to a resolution on powers of the Rangers and since the time is once again up for the revalidation of the extension in powers, the federal interior minister has once again emerged on the surface.
Unfortunately, he was seen nowhere after the terror attack on Bacha Khan University n Charsaddah in Peshawar, said Senator Ghani, adding that Chaudhry Nisar is the member of federal cabinet and whatever he is sowing would either prove fruitful to the PM or would damage him and hence it is the PM’s case to decide what to do with him.
The nation is watching him closely and would be answerable for soft corner in his heart for the deadly terrorist forces such as Da’esh and Taliban, he opined.
Speaking on the occasion, Moula Bux Chandio said that Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan is serving to none in the country but is creating rifts among the federation and the provinces especially sindh province through his furious verbal attacks.
He said it looks as if he is making all efforts to protect certain elements that are challenging the writ of the state. The operation Zarb-e Azb, national action plan and targeted operation in Karachi were all launched on demands from national parties in Sindh while Nisar was nowhere in the canvas.
Chandio said that the federal interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan is deliberately making the letter pertaining to powers of the paramilitary Rangers controversial. Being the federal interior minister, he is liable to tell the nation as why millions of people are standing in long queues for obtaining passport so that they could leave the country over insecurity.
He said it is a routine that the security forces and law enforcement agencies are nabbing militants of Da’esh and TTP from Punjab and Islamabad but the federal interior minister is keeping his eyes closed from this open situation.
He advised the federal interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan that he should perform in a way to represent the federation of the country. He should stop maligning Sindh for everything. The PPP Jialas could not forget the time when late Benazir Bhutto was indicted in fake cases and she wandered in courts from here to there. However, neither she nor Asif Ali Zardari ever took revenge from any and they had eliminated the politics of revenge in their respective tenures.
