Bilawal Bhutto stresses on utilization of latest means of communications to improve education system in Sindh

KARACHI, January 28: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party has stressed that latest means of communications should be utilized to improve education system in the Sindh province and every department should switch to e-governance for better coordination among various stakeholders to ensure smooth and effective functions of the departments.

PPP Chairman was speaking at a meeting held to review the performance of Education Department where Senior Sindh Minister for Education Nisar Ahmed Kuhuhro, and Secretary Fazalullah Pechuho and team of experts of ILMI & SITAREY from Education Department gave a detailed briefings to him about the Department’s initiative for building a data-rich, stakeholder engagement platform to communicate live and directly in an informed and engaging manner with all the stakeholders of Education in Sindh.
Under the initiative, students, parents, teachers, head masters, lecturers, officers and staff can now communicate live using their mobile phone with ILMI to give feedback, share suggestions, and ask questions as well as to receive information and assistance.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was briefed that ILMI initiative was started in March last year and since then 191,237 students, parents, teachers, headmasters and officers have become ILMI Texters in the database.
PPP Chairman said that education remains the top priority of his Party government and every step should be taken to make all the schools functional with complete necessary facilities available. He said that it was the vision of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto for 100% literacy rate in the country where students should excel in every field of education.
Jameel Soomro, member Central Executive Committee of Pakistan Peoples Party also attended the briefing.
