Karachi. 8.1.2016: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Karachi Division President Syed Najmi Alam and General Secretary Nadeem Bhutto while severely criticizing the provincial government of Pakistan Tehreek-e Insaf in Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa for lacking to use the allocated funds for the fiscal budget of 2015-16 for the development in the province said the sit-in party (PTI) should look around for its claims about transforming Pakistan into a modern state as it even could not bring basic improvements in lives of the people of the KP.
In a statement issued from the PPP Media Cell Sindh, they said that the PTI and its provincial government in KP should tender unconditional apology to the people of the province over sheer inefficiency and incapability to serve the people.
They said it was deplorable to note that the government of KP could not utelise allocated development funds above just 17 percent while the funds for education were also used below 20 percent. However, the KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak had used more funds on the protocol of his party chief Imran Niazi and on him as well.
They said that having been embarrassed by a shameful retreat in sit-in politics; the PTI has now launched a ‘Sewage Lid’ politics to shift the attention of the local and national media. Nothing positive could be expected from this sit-in party and the party could be approached for creating unrest and chaos in any corner of the country, instead.
They said though the sewage holes should properly be covered with lids but it should also be looked into as how this issue was converted into a vigorous campaign against the people’s elected democratic Sindh provincial government and how the local media has become part of it. The media should identify the issues but it should never become a party especially when the issue thus raised smells something conspiratorial.
They said the certain sections of media have been used in this conspiratorial campaign against the Sindh government and it looked as if this issue is more sensitive than the threats to the sovereignty of the country.
They said the Sindh province is facing paucity of finance as the federal government is not releasing the due share to the Sindh from the resources for which the Sindh provincial government is chasing the centre since day one but to no avail.
