Ambassador of Sweden H.E. Mr. Tomas Rosander called on Chief Minister Sindh at CM House
KARACHI Dec, 17: The Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that law and order situation in Sindh is improved at substantial level. He said that comparatively now Sindh is more peaceful than other provinces of Pakistan and has gained its ideal situation for investment. This he said while holding separate meeting with the Ambassador of Sweden Mr. Tomas Rosander and Ambassador of Poland Mr. Piotr Opalinski who called on him at CM House Karachi today. The Principal Secretary to CM Alamuddin Bullo was also present in both meetings. While talking with Ambassador of Sweden in Pakistan, the Chief Minister Sindh said that there was no report about presence of ISIS in Karachi. He said that keeping in view the terrorists activities, the Sindh Government had launched the targeted operation against four heinous crimes including terrorism, target killing, kidnapping for ransom and extortion with the help of Federal Government and with the consensus of all stakeholders in September 2013 and had delegated policing powers to the Pakistan Rangers as well to assist Sindh Police, arrest and investigate, the terrorists & criminals involved in these crimes. Later on we implemented on National Action Plan against terrorism and achieved substantial improvement in law & order in Sindh Province. Though still terrorists activities are continuing in Northern areas and other provinces but comparatively Sindh was more peaceful province. He said that we have determine to continue the targeted operation till elimination of last terrorist on this soil and have ratified the powers of Rangers from the Sindh Assembly to take action against these four heinous crimes. Under the law, the Rangers has also been allowed to raid the house of person who was suspected for , aiding or abetting terrorists but only with tangible evidence & getting prior permission from him. The Chief Minister informed the diplomat, that now confidence not only the local people but forgiveness has been build up, and economic activities are at full swing in the province. He invited the Sweden Ambassador and other European countries to avail the potential investment opportunities here at Sindh and assured them full co-operation and even incentives as well.
