LB polls results of First and second phase in Punjab are being changed in the name of re-counting by ruling party Nawaz League

Karachi, 24th November 2015: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that Local Bodies Election results of First and second phase in Punjab are being changed in the name of re-counting by ruling party Nawaz League and it is influencing LB elections results in Punjab.

Bilawal Bhutto Zaradri was talking to President PPP Punjab Mian Manzoor Watoo, who called on him at Bilawal House today. Vice President PPPP Senator Sherry Rehman also present on the occasion.

President PPP Punjab Mian Manzoor Watoo apprised the Chairman about riggings by ruling party during first and second phase of LB elections in Punjab. He also complained that Nawaz League was exerting pressure to change results, especially in Mandi Bahauddin.

Manzoor Wattoo invited the Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to participate as Guest of Honor in Mass Wedding Ceremony of fifty deserving couples by Ameer Begum Welfare Trust to be held in Lahore in second week of Janaury 2016. Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari assured him to attend this event.

PPP Chairman said that he will visit Punjab after LB elections to meet with Party workers and will re-energize and strengthen the party on ground. He said that party preprations for coming general elections will start from Punjab with new vigor, fervour and strength.

He said that Pakistan Peoples Party is fighting for the rights of common and bare-footed peoples of Pakistan. He reiterated that this commitment will remain forever.
