Karachi. 6.11.2015: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Karachi Division President Syed Najmi Alam, General Secretary Nadeem Bhutto and Secretary Information Syed Manzoor Abbas while addressing the National database and registration Authority (NADRA) Chairman said the NADRA has since long been tormenting the citizens of Karachi, who have been wandering from here to there to get their fresh computerised national identity cards (CNIC), get their expired CNICs renewed and to obtain a duplicate after the first original CNIC is lost or stolen.
They said the NADRA has so far blacklisted around 40 areas of Karachi from where the citizens face tremendous problem with regard to proving their nationality as NADRA centres in those blacklisted areas are punishing the citizens for the guilt they did not commit.
They asked the NADRA Chairman to cleanse the NADRA centres from the corrupt officers and staffers and should not agonise the common citizens for the corruption of NADRA’s employees.
They said hundreds of citizens are visiting local offices of PPP with complaints of discriminatory behaviour of the NADRA employees, who deliberately insert flawed information or fail to ensure the applications are free from mistakes due to which the applicants are the sole sufferers.
