Bilawal Bhutto condemns Kashmore blast

Karachi, Feb 16, 2014: Patron-in-Chief of Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has strongly condemned the bomb blast targeting a passenger train near Kashmore which resulted into loss of several innocent human lives including four children while injuring many others.
In a statement, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that those who killed innocent human beings in merciless violence were barbarians who deserved no mercy. He said that these elements were trying to destabilize the country through ferocity. Their subversive activities were highly condemnable.
PPP Patron sympathized with the families of the victims and expressed solidarity with them. He also directed local party leadership to help the victims and ensure best possible medical treatment to those injured.

Provincial ministers‚ parliamentarians directed to monitor flood situation in province

Sindh-CM-QaimAliShah-PPP_5-28-2013_102838_lSindh Information Minister says a comprehensive strategy has been evolved to minimize flood losses.

Sindh Cabinet has asked provincial ministers and parliamentarians to monitor the flood situation in the province.This was decided during a meeting held in Karachi with Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah in the chair.

The meeting reviewed the province’s overall flood situation‚ position of bunds and other important issues.

Briefing the media after the meeting‚ Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said that after reviewing the water level situation in the rivers and canals of the Khotki‚ Kashmore and Sukkur districts‚ a comprehensive strategy has been evolved to avoid any untoward situation from flood.

He said that concerned officials have been directed to stay alert on the protective bunds and remain prepared for any emergency.

Muzaffar visits SHC Judge Justice Maqbool Bagar, convinces to go abroad for treatment on govt. expenses

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Local Bodies and Health Syed Owais Muzaffar visited Sindh High Court judge, Justice Maqbool Baqar at a local hospital and convinced him to go abroad for treatment on government expenses.

Justice Baqar was injured in a terrorist attack in Karachi that left nine dead and many wounded. Muzaffar, who was accompanied by Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, said that Justice Baqar will get a bulletproof car on his return from abroad after treatment.

Muzaffar said PPP respects the judiciary and will ensure its protection at every cost.

Earlier, he took a survey of various localities of the city including Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Gulistan-e-Jauhar. The local bodies minister directed the administrator of Karachi Municipal Corporation to improve the sanitary conditions.

Meanwhile, in Jaccobabad Muzzaffar chaired a meeting of public representatives and health department officials. He announced providing six ambulances each for the Kundh Kot, Kashmore and Jacobabad.

He went around basic health units and expressed dismay over lack of facilities and directed the health officials to ensure availability of medicines and equipment.

Muzaffar warned the officials that he can land anywhere from Karachi to Kashmore for a surprise check. Laying emphasis on health and sanitation he said negligent officials will face strict action.
